Just thought I’d take a moment to mention a terrific international organization, MeetUp.com
As you may know, MeetUp is a social platform for meeting other people with shared interests. Usually, the groups are local, with in-person events {masks and social distancing observed as needed, of course}. Too, in many groups suggestions for events are welcome. I personally, have recently attended a few. It’s a great platform for the LGBTQ+ community ~ locally, nationally, and globally ~ a safe environment in which to meet and support one another. Especially with Covid still raging ~ Studies show the pandemic has put great strain on mental health across the board, so it is more important than ever to stay connected with others. ~ and it’s a wonderful way to stay in touch with the LGBTQ+ community in particular. I’ve met some wonderful people from MeetUp, and highly recommend it.
