Hi Britt!
Thank you for posting! I'd say it's impressive ~ very Imaginative and Creative. .. 🙂
What Inspired us in our youth ~ Good question. .. Well, personally, my family wasn't much into media when I was growing up ~ We lived a very analog Existence lol. ..But my family was very Inspiring ~ especially my mother ~ She was Amazing in so many ways. .. She came to the US from China in the late 1940's, when she was 17. .. She got a B.A. in English, then a PhD in Microbiology, at a time when there were virtually no women or Asians among her peers. .. She was Brilliant and very Gifted ~ one of those people who is Always Good at everything they do. .. And beyond that, she was Always Humanitarian, Honourable, Wise, Compassionate, Egalitarian ~ and Ever a Paragon of Balance and Equanimity. .. The latter she strove for her entire life, so she had them in spades. .. And being Caring and Loving With people was something she Always did, rather than said. .. She was like the Rock of Gibraltar, and she was Loved and Respected by everyone in the family, as well as others. .. So needless to say, she was Always a Source of Great Inspiration. ..
And too, there was Always Music. .. Pretty self explanatory. ..I never went into it, but of course it can be very Uplifting ~ In fact someone very Dear to me likens it to a "pharmacy" for its ability to affect and enhance one's mood. ..
So those are a couple of Inspirations that occurred to me. .. What else is on your Mind?
And anyone else Care to comment?
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to craft a really impressive introduction. Visions of working for NASA, saving kittens from evil spies and gene splicing came to mind. Alas none of those things are true. I am a mid thirties media baby obsessed with the silly and bizarre.Growing up in blue collar America in the 1990s meant being raised primarily by the television. Generally I find cartoons and fantasy play much more stimulating than the hum drum of day to day existence. I was elated to discover that I am not alone. Disney theme parks are jam packed with adults stubbornly holding on to their childhoods. If you understand and relate please give a shout out, tell me about the things that inspired you during your youth. Let us celebrate that which engaged us most when our minds were free and so very open!
