Season's Greetings, All ~

Well, here it is, 2021 Christmas Eve again. .. What with the pandemic still raging, it's been a difficult couple of years for everyone. My heartfelt condolences to everyone who has contracted Covid, or lost loved ones to it.
It is so important to wear masks, and get vaccinations and boosters. For people who don't think they need to do this ~ Please consider the well-being of not only the society and yourself, but that of your friends, family ~ all your loved ones. .. Science is truly nothing to be feared ~ and the fanaticism of some people who refuse to do this is unparalleled. It is also how the virus has continued to be so widespread and lethal.
On a happier note ~ people are welcomed and encouraged to post their year-end reflections. .. How did the year go for you? Has your life changed greatly since the pandemic, and if so, how? Were you still able to stay connected with loved ones? What lessons can you take away from this, and what are your hopes for the new year?
Personally, my life hasn't changed as much as for some, and I was fortunate enough to stay in touch with family and friends. .. And the lessons ~ I think the overriding takeaway from all this is how much I do appreciate my loved ones. .. Communicating and interacting with them, albeit not always in person, is a wonderful thing ~ and it is vis-a-vis our mutual support that we are getting through this. ..
I think this is especially important for the LGBTQ+ community. .. For as we all know, the LGBTQ+ have trials and challenges beyond the "norm". .. And so, the members of this community need support ~ particularly with all the mental and emotional stressors brought about by the pandemic. ..
Another disturbing thing is the state of the nation ~ politics, government, and the state of the populace as a whole has become more turbulent than it has ever been in US history.
As a member of MeetUp.com, I very much appreciate the opportunity to meet and socialize with other LGBTQ+. .. I hope that we can all come together and be more supportive than ever of one another. .. That too, is one of the purposes of this site. .. There is a national and international LGBTQ+ resources page, and members are always invited to post their feelings, thoughts, hopes, dreams, and stories. ..

So, happy holidays to all. ..
Stay safe and take good care ~
Namaste
